KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• • Brooding
• • Flock management & health
• • Production management and performance monitoring
• • Operational management and farm maintenance supervision
• • Biosecurity management and veterinary supervision
• • Staff management and leadership
• • Reporting – Productivity, Mortalities, Feed Conversion Ratios, Manure, Inputs, Costs (KPI)

Job Qualifications / Skills

• Education and Experience:

• Diploma in Animal Science, Poultry Management, Agriculture or a related field.
• Five (5) years of practical experience in commercial poultry operations, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• In-depth knowledge of poultry physiology, nutrition, and disease management.
• Skills and Competencies:

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a team.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with use of farm management software, data analysis, and farming equipment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and perform tasks in all weather conditions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for dealing with staff, management and clients.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and operational efficiency.
• Passion: A genuine passion for poultry and a commitment to high standards of quality and welfare.
