Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) is hiring a Legal Officer whose main purpose is to;
i. To effectively represent UTB, prosecute and defend cases for and against UTB in courts of law and quasi-judicial bodies.
ii. To give legal advice, draft contracts/agreements/ MOUs and assist the Manager in conducting Board Affairs

REPORTS TO: Manager Legal & Corporate Affairs
SUPERVISES: Legal Clerk

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Qualifications / Skills
• Postgraduate diploma in Legal Practice (Dip LP),
• Certificate of Enrolment as an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda,
• Valid Practising Certificate
• At least 3 years of relevant post enrolment experience
• SKILLS
• Ability to provide sound legal advice on all matters pertinent to UB’s statutory mandate
• Ability to draft various types of legal documents and legal briefs
• Demonstrable experience in case management, litigation and Court practice
• Ability to conduct extensive and comprehensive legal research to aid in decision making
• Good communication and analytical skills
• Proven high level of integrity
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Problem solving skills
